Rite of Spring

Kate invited Monet and I to the ballet

 It was the Rite of Spring opening night at Ballet West. 

As I was sitting there in the theater I was acutely aware of my senses:

I was thinking about what I was experiencing at that very moment - I didn’t let the beauty of the ballet and this day slip by unnoticed.

I will be not afraid 

I will not especially be afraid to enjoy what is beautiful

To believe that as I give to the world

The world will give to me

The universe is waiting to give me so much

I am opening my arms 
And my eyes

 

Wonder

Of the moment

After dance class tonight I was able to clear my mind of my thoughts and so I was able to enjoy the wonder of the moment. 

Nature 

To see the beauty all around me 

To smile spontaneously 

To laugh

To love

To live again
 

My Life

Has Changed

 I heard someone in Al-Anon tonight that when they open their eyes in the morning they also open their ears. 

Now when I wake up: 

I listen for birds 

I eat breakfast before making plans

I prefer to take time to appreciate my favorite part of the day.
