1 week post op

Still lots of pain and ice 

I’m enjoying reading 

 

Anxiety

Trying to relax and read a book even when I’m super anxious about breaking my leg last Thursday 

Every time I close my eyes to rest I see my bone sticking out of my leg - the trauma of healing is seriously hard

 Martin sends me pictures of the sunsets on his walk with Fritz and I’m depressed that I’m missing out on one of my favorite times of the day our walks where we would talk about anything and everything

Happy 86th birthday to my dad

Monet brought me dinner tonight and helped rearrange some of the flowers that everyone has been bringing me to cheer me up

While watching the world bicycle, walk, run by…

 

Shower Power

I used a shower cap to wash my hair the past 3 days because I couldn’t shower yet

Martin helped me shower today with the home health physical therapist

Morgen brought me a smoothie and had his court date today 
He is on probation pending further evaluation 

 

Happy Summer

 

 It is not the way I planned to start the first day of summer

Marilee came to visit

And my mom and dad

Monet & Drew as well 

Extra Day

I had to stay an extra day in the hospital 

But was able to come home today

 

Surgery

When I woke up after surgery yesterday I was in my hospital bed

With ice machines attached to my leg

IV in my arm and pain in my leg

My room had a good view

 

Unfortunately

After sleeping in this morning on my day off

I had breakfast with Martin

Since it was already hot outside

I took Fritz for a hike at the dog park

Moments after I took these photos I slipped and fell

I broke my tibia and had to be rescued by search and rescue

 

Active

Markus played at Steiner again last night

And we had a lovely walk tonight after Salsa Dancing

The new Audi was in a fender bender on Saturday and we dropped it off for repair today

And went out to lunch afterwards for pizza
