Rockwell

{Starting line of the 169.7 mile relay race}

{My friend Sharon turned the big 4.0. this week and wanted to celebrate by riding in the women only relay race from Snowbasin to Provo}

{Sharon's friend Kristen joined the team just this week}

{Kristen and Sharon each rode their two legs plus a couple of the other legs just for fun!}

It was a beautiful day for a race and the course was breathtaking, riding past not one, but seven different reservoirs. The first being Pineview, followed by East Canyon, then the third reservoir, Echo. Yet, another one, Rockport was followed by Smith and Morehouse Reservoir, then Jordanelle followed by Deer Creek, at which point I really was ready to jump in the lake! Our team didn't win, but we didn't come in last either. It was a ride to enjoy and remember - an event that I wouldn't mind doing again next year if I get the opportunity. The sense of personal and team accomplishment, plus the camaraderie was great. The fun pampering and beautiful scenery that we passed were the icing on the cake.
