I spent most of the morning today baking 9 dozen Sparkling Ginger Cookies for a christmas cookie exchange that my neighbor Leanna invited me to join. She used to have a homemade ornament exchange and for the past 8 years I have gone to that with 10 homemade ornaments that I would exchange for 10 different ornaments with the ladies at the exchange. But someone last year decided that we all had (more than) enough homemade ornaments and suggested the cookies instead. Tonight I left with 9 dozen of the same cookie and came home with 9 different kinds of cookies to give to my neighbors and friends.
