Connor has a fever from some kind of infection. They can't figure out what is causing it, the doctors did a spinal tap today as well as an ultrasound on his kidneys, blood tests, a urine test, a test for RSV and H1N1 and everything has turned out negative so far. They have ordered a CT scan to see if they can detect anything that way and if not then they may have to open his chest up again and see if the infection is in his heart. Meanwhile they have put him on three different antibiotics and an antiviral medication. On top of the morphine and anti-diuretic he was on for his heart. His oxygen saturation keeps on dipping down below his normal levels and his veins are being burned from the IV antibiotics. They may have to put a PICC line in through his leg to his heart to distribute the medications. He isn't nursing and hasn't had any dirty diapers either. In other words, he is having a rough day.
