Transposition of the great arteries with ventricular septal defect and left ventricular outflow tract obstruction is what Connor was diagnosed as having. You can read more about it here:
Connor's Heart
He is having surgery at 6:30 in the morning to try and help with his circulation so that he doesn't keep turning blue (cyanosis), the Dr. told Sheri tonight while I was at the hospital that they are going to make the hole in his ventricle bigger in hopes of mixing more oxygen in the chamber. They also told her that he will need another surgery to switch the arteries as he gets a little older, at 2 months and then 4 months. He will need to have surgery again at 2 years and then when he is 15 years old will need a heart transplant. Sheri is in complete shock as you can imagine. All I can do is cry with her when I am there watching Connor on the ventilator.
