 Lightning

Markus was pretty excited about his name on his Lightning jacket that I picked up for him today. He tied his game last night against the squirt B Grizz team 2-2 and you would have thought they won the championship game! It was crazy how excited Markus and his whole Lightning team were about it afterwards. So cute!

He was a little disappointed today when I told him that he is not going to play in the Park City Tournament this weekend after all. It turns out that Shannon wants the B team to have a little more practice before they have a tournament game, so the A teams are going to play, which means that Max will be playing in Park City instead. His coach sent this in an email today: "There are a ton of lessons we could learn from playing A teams but we need a few more miles in our skates. I feel that the kids’ confidence is a big key to their success and development right now. As you guys witnessed last night, I’ve never seen a group kids that were so excited after a tie. They deserved it and they knew it… Cool thing was that everyone contributed last night. " Cool indeed.
